We were contracted to refinish the main basement hall of the Portuguese Speaking Presbyterian Church on Dovercourt Road in downtown Toronto, we repaired and polished the concrete floor to a beautiful finish.
During our work, we were asked to evaluate the attached areas: the entrance way, kitchen and washrooms.
There was concern about the floor staining in the kitchen from food and coffee and the generally battered condition of the concrete in and around the washroom areas.
We suggested epoxy coatings for these area which would address all the problems with staining and people using the basement entrance way in the winter with snow and salt on their boots and shoes.
The standard coloured grey or clear epoxies did not appeal to our client and so we suggested a metallic epoxy look for the floor. After extensive grinding and patching to repair sections of the floor we applied a 3 colour mix of metallic’s on the floor to achieve our final results (pictured above).
The client was very pleased with the results.
